Introduction

I've been in a bit of a lull lately...

Maybe it's the whole being 22.5 years old thing or the fact that I'm mentally dating a video game character, but I've been feeling off as of late.

To cheer myself up I thought it would be best to write about my all-time favorite brand: Ann Taylor.

I've loved Ann Taylor for a long time and, as I wrote in this post, can always count on her (I'm going to start personifying brands now. Deal with it!) to cheer me up.

So for today's post, I'm going to be sharing my favorites from Ann Taylor's Ann-Versary sale!

A Taste of Animal Print

My apologies for waiting until now to speak about this: Animal Print is so in.

I had a Leopard Print Finds post for men & women written but I scrapped it to write about the GAP x Troye Sivan collab.

Maybe I'll make that my second post this week.

Anyway, Animal Print is here and I'm glad to see Ann Taylor take the formerly known party-print and turn it into something that's office fashionable.

This print takes any outfit and makes it fashionable, and you don't even need to buy anything else to wear with it.

Because of the bold nature of Leopard Print, it can easily pair with any basic you have in your closet.

The Main Dish: Red

After writing two posts about red, I'm running out of creative ways to say how much love this color, so I'll leave it with this.

If I were to end up in a Mr. Beast style grab what you can at a shopping mall videos, I wouldn't dare leave without an Ann Taylor red jacket.

For who? I don't know, but I'd have to have it.

Moral of the story - buy more red.

Leave Room for Faux Leather

I need to figure out why Faux Leather is in.

It makes sense that black leather would be in because of how easily it pairs with Animal Print and Assouline Red.

My main question, however, is why FAUX leather.

It could have to do with shifting consumer values away from Fast Fashion and toward ethical clothing production (i.e. not wearing animals).

Regardless, I love faux leather in this collection because of how it adds an effortless pop of texture to every outfit.

It's an essential for any woman looking to build their closet.

My Favorites

An in-season pick that's red and satin. Two birds with one stone.

This animal print dress is a fantastic choice for a fashion-forward office and a great night after.

This faux leather dress adds an extra detail to the classic "little black dress" that screams style and sophistication.

It's Ann Taylor. It's Geometric. It's ORANGE! There's so much to love with this sweater.

I don't know why I didn't realize it, but Ann Taylor makes totes? I'm kind of obsessed.

Conclusion

I just love Ann Taylor!

If I listened to my therapist and allowed myself to spend money on things I want, not just things I need, I would find a corporate woman near me and buy all of these clothes.

There's just so much beauty in the brand's aesthetic and mission.

Being in the workplace can feel terrifying, and I'm glad that brands like Ann Taylor are there to help.

P.S. - I commented on an Ann Taylor post and, strangely, they commented back. Like obviously they were going to comment on my comment because that's good for engagement. BUT! I can't help but wonder if they clicked around my profile? Did they see my blog? Did they read my posts? Am I on their SS25 mood board? I have so many questions. (Not really but it's fun to ponder.)
