Introduction
It's no secret that location can play a big role in developing a fashion brand's image and customer image.
With brands like Cristian Siriano New York, Louis Vuitton Paris, and Misa Los Angeles, location does not just house the brand.
It can make the brand.
However, I've never thought of South Carolina as a place that could have a distinct fashion aesthetic, but, I recently discovered Morris & King which proved me wrong.
Brand Description: Morris & King
Morris & King is a Charleston, South Carolina-based classic menswear retailer founded by Natalia Clap and Chris Morris.
With a focus on high-quality fabrics and a multi-generational aesthetic, Morris & King seeks to create products that grow into family heirlooms.
The brand is a smaller one, but I think its timeless take on menswear offers a safe choice for someone looking to invest in nice pieces that will last a lifetime.
Additionally, the pops of color, seersucker print, and unique blog give the brand a personal touch that makes it stand out in my eyes.

Taking inspiration from the bright architecture of Charleston, Morris & King's SS24 Collection featured high-quality versions of menswear classics: cable sweaters, seersucker coats, rugby polos, and shorts.

Designed in a classic Blue & White Seersucker, this blazer is a great pick for a stylish basic. I have always wanted a blazer in this fabric.

Conclusion
Though uncommon in its hometown, Morris & King is a brand full of potential.
I love the brand's classic aesthetic that combines masculine poise with southern color.
It'll be a while before I'm in Charleston, South Carolina again, but, when I'm back, I will keep my eye out for Morris & King.
